TTU K12 Blackboard

The Texas Tech University K-12 program provides Texas Teachers with professional development and an opportunity to collaborate with other teachers. With the Blackboard Collaborate tool, teachers can work together in a virtual space to add their expertise to the subject matter being taught.

The teachers can also share their own lessons with one another and provide feedback on each other’s material. The K-12 program also uses the Blackboard Collaborate tool to give teachers a chance to experience the university classroom environment. The teachers are able to participate in online lectures and virtual field trips.

The Blackboard Collaborate platform is a videoconferencing and web conferencing service that Texas Tech University uses in its courses. Texas Tech has implemented the use of Blackboard Collaborate for a number of years and has seen the platform grow and develop over that time. Instructions How to Sign Up for TTU Blackboard?

To sign up for this system, go to www.ttu.edu and click on “Student Account” (you will have to sign in with your user name and password). From the Blackboard menu, click on “Student Life” and select “Blackboard” from the list of links. On the “My courses” page, click on “Add course”.

Enter the information for your course and then click “Submit course request”. (I find this most helpful to input your last name, major, and course name). On the “Class Info” page, click on “Add course submission form”. Click “Attach the pre-formatted PDF file (this is optional). Click “Submit”. On the next page, click on “Submit course” (not sure why it says “Update submitted course”). Enter the information and click “Submit”.
