How to create your profile

It is easy to personalize your profile by adding an image. This image will be displayed at the top Oakland OCC D2L Home page as well as other areas such as Discussions and the Classlist.

You can add an image to your profile and it will appear in all your courses in Myocc D2L.

This process is only necessary once. Instructors will ask that you upload a photo of yourself, not an icon. The best shots are of the head and shoulders.

Keep the classroom environment respectful and open to all. Photos that are deemed inappropriate might be removed.

  1. Log into D2L and select your name at the top. Next, choose Profile from the dropdown.
  2. Click the Change Image button.
  3. Click the Upload button, browse to and choose the image.
  4. Click on the Add button.
  5. If you are satisfied with the image displayed, click the Save button. Otherwise, return to Step 2 and upload another picture.

  2. Click the Remove Picture icon (trash can icon) located next to the Modify Picture button.
  3. To delete the image, select Remove or Cancel to return to the previous screen.

  1. After you have entered your course, click Grading on the navigation bar.
  2. Find a grade item (e.g. Locate a grade item (e.g. Paper 1) and then locate the information that your instructor has given you for your grade in the points column. 10/10 point value, Grade column. 100% or the letter grade you received. Your instructor may use a weighted grade book.   2. Check out the grade list (e.g. You can see the Final Grad Calculation Formulapopup and the points achieved columns (e.g. Written Assignments 19/22). Please Note: If your instructor uses a weighted-grade book, your grades will be listed under the Weight Achieved Column and not the Points Achieved.

  3. Check all checkboxes on the page.
  4. Set the Summary Of Activity to Never.
  5. Click the Trashcan icon next to your email and phone number if you have one.
  6. Check all boxes that have been checked.
  7. Click Save.
