The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s student portal, UAB Blazernet, is accessible. Students may log into their portal to register, view their grades, and use the UAB canvas from anywhere in the world.
Blazernet is a high-speed network that connects University of Alabama students, faculty, and staff with each other and the world. UAB Blazernet Login
You will need your BlazerID password and username to log in to UAB Blazernet.
- Look Out the Ssb.it.uab.edu.
- Feed up your data.
- Now enter your case-sensitive password.
- To access your account, click on the login button

What is a BlazerID and how does it work?
A Blazer ID is a unique identifier that is assigned to each student, faculty, and staff member at the University of Oregon. It is used to access BlazerNet, the University’s online system for students, faculty, and staff. Benefits of BlazerID
There are a number of different ways that Blazer ID can be used. It can be used as a form of identification, as a way to login to different resources on campus, and as a way to pay for items at the bookstore or other locations on campus.
Blazer ID is required for many UAB computer resources, such as UAB Blazernet or Canvas. The goal is to have your Blazer ID be the only identifier that you can securely login to all about online portals and information services.
What services are required by a BlazaerID
BlazerID and password are required for most major academic and administrative online services.
In order to be a part of the Blazer community, you will need a BlazerID and a password. Your ID is your personal identifier and it is required in order to access many of the services that are available to you as a Blazer. Some of the services that require your ID include:
- Registering for classes
- Obtaining your transcript
- Getting involved on campus
- Accessing your email account
What’s the connection between my BlazerID address and @uab.edu?
The BlazerID (or the part before @) is your username. You have the option to designate a mailbox or set up an UAB email account to receive your mail when you register your BlazerID.
Your BlazerID is your unique identifier at UAB, and it’s also what you use to log in to Blazernet. Your @uab.edu email address is automatically generated based on your BlazerID, and it’s the email address that you should use to access all of your UAB email and other online resources.
How can I get a BlazerID?
You must be a UAB employee, student, or past or present student to get a BlazerID. Students who attended UAB before 1982 may not be included in the computer records. You cannot apply for a BlazerID if you aren’t (or haven’t been) an employee or student of UAB.

To get a BlazerID, you can visit the Blazers ID website and click on “Get Your Blazers ID” in the top right corner. You will then be asked to provide your name, birth date, and email address. After you have filled out this information, click on “Create My Account” and you will receive your BlazerID via email.
How do I change my BlazerID and Password? What can I do to make a new BlazerID?
Once your BlazerID has been established, you cannot change it. You can however use the Mail Only Alias option to replace your BlazerID.
To set your mail alias, University of Alabama
- Navigate to the electronic telephone book at Check Here.
- Click on the “Change Information” button.
- You will be taken to a login screen. Enter your BlazerID password.
- After you log in, you will see a screen that lists your information. Scroll down to the bottom to find the Mail-only Aliases item. Click on the Add/Change button.
- Enter a new alias in the box below and click Change! You can have up to 16 letters and numbers, both in upper and lowercase. Not for mail delivery, Aliases can only be used. To access campus systems (i.e. – Oracle, UAB BlazerNET, Banner, Blackboard, etc. ).
- After you have entered your new mail address, click the button beside it and then hit Change! again. To review your changes, click on the View Entry button located at the top.
- Your mail alias has been set up. To log into campus systems, you will continue to use your BlazerID and not your mail-only address.
How do I access the UAB Canvas?
UAB Canvas is the University of Alabama at Birmingham learning management system (LMS). It allows faculty and students at the suitable place to organize and create course content, assignments and quizzes, discussion, files, and other information.
To access the UAB canvas, you first need to create an account. Once you have created an account, you can login at UAB.instructure.com. Steps for creating an account are as follows:
Visit UAB.instructure.com and click on the “Login” button in the top-right corner of the page. On the next page, enter your UAB netID and password, then click on the blue “Login” button. If you do not know your UAB netID, you can find it by visiting http://www.uab.edu/accounts/netid/.
Once you have logged in, you will be taken to your Canvas Dashboard.
